Charitable Solicitation License!
We received our Charitable Solicitations Act License yesterday! This is needed to legally ask for donations in the State of Maine. Our license covers us for up to $10,000 in donations per year.
The next step is to start planning our first fundraiser. If our publicly supported fundraiser is successful (doing so allows us to meet the federal tax requirements) then we can apply for our federal 501(c)(3) exemption status!
